Bicycling is on the rise in Los Angeles County. As more and more Los Angeles County residents take to the streets by bicycle there is greater demand across the county to make the streets safer for riders of all ages and abilities. The Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition has been working across the county on behalf of cyclists for the last ten years, however LACBC cannot effectively address the needs and issues of the millions of cyclists around the county without the help of local advocates.
To strengthen our efforts regionally, LACBC is fostering local advocacy groups and chapters as a way to extend our ability to work with our members, the general cycling community, and the 88 cities that make up the county. LACBC’s Regional Partnership Blog is an online resource for groups working in cities and unincorporated areas around the county. Through this blog we hope to share resources, regional events, and our collective passion for making Los Angeles County a safer, better connected, and more bicycle-friendly county.
